Published quarterly since 1979, Folklore Magazine is a unique venue for sharing stories of Saskatchewan. Folklore shares history through the lens of everyday people's lived experiences and local, regional, and community histories. “People stories” are one of the magazine’s strengths—stories of events, daily life, family, humour, and unique experiences.

Folklore Magazine accepts original submissions about some aspect of Saskatchewan stories or history. Folklore takes a broad view of what is considered related to Saskatchewan and what is considered history.

Our Editor reviews all submissions sent to Folklore Magazine. Our Folklore Editor is funded through a Graduate Research Fellowship created with the University of Saskatchewan Department of History. The Editor position is renewed yearly, but our editors often stay on for multiple years. Other SHFS staff may view or work on your submission, but the editorial process primarily involves the Editor.
